Special Friends exists
to help kids and students with special needs access our programs and
ministries, while growing in their friendship and knowledge of Christ in a
safe and accepting environment, empowering caregivers to do the same.
In short, Special
Friends provides opportunities for access, growth, and care.
The spirit of Special Friends is one of inclusion; therefore, the ministry
matches kids/students, who have special needs, with an adult or teenage
buddy to help integrate the child/student into our programs and ministries.

Twice each year, in the Fall and Spring, our parish hosts a Service Saturday. This is a day when we, as a parish family, go out
into the wider community and lend a helping hand to those in need.
We have especially "adopted" several charities:
The Out of the Cold "Bridges Shelter" located in Cambridge, and
Michael House, a home for unwed mothers located in Guelph and
Carmelite Monastery in St. Agatha, the residence for religious sisters (nuns) who are cloistered and dedicated to prayer and contemplation for the life of the Church.
In the Fall we hold our "Blanket Brigade" in which we collect blankets for the homeless, and each Spring our "Green Bag Saturday" collects
clothing and household items which are given to our local St. Vincent de Paul Store which in turn pass it on to families in need.
