What is the Atrium of the Visitation?
The Atrium of the Visitation is a program for children 3-6 years old inspired by the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd and rooted in the educational principles of Maria Montessori.
How does an Atrium work?
Children gather in an "atrium," a space prepared for them, which contains simple yet beautiful three-dimensional materials that they use which help them to enter into the mysteries of our faith in a hands-on way. After a theme has been presented, children are free to choose an activity. Materials are attractively displayed and invite the children to explore and deepen their experience of the presentation at their own rhythm. The atrium is a place of meaningful work through which the child can have a conversation with God.
When does it run? Wednesdays 6:15 – 7:15pm
Cost:
$40 per child.
