St Mary of the Visitation Parish
Eucharistic Adoration is honoring and worshiping the Eucharistic Presence of Christ. It involves the contemplation of the Mystery of Christ truly present before us. During Adoration we watch and wait, silent before his presence and open to the graces which flow from the Eucharist.

Adoration Chapel was open on December 8, 2002. The Chapel is a haven of silence in the midst of a
busy world. It is open 24 hours a day thanks to the generous
commitment of time of many parishioners who commit to taking an
hour in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament. Our parish
Book of Prayer and votive candles are located in the Chapel for your needs.
What is Eucharistic Adoration?
Eucharistic Adoration is an
expression of our love for Jesus, Who for love of us humbled
Himself by making Himself present under the appearance of bread in
the consecrated host. For He said, “Behold I am with you always”
(Mt. 28:20). We respond to this love by spending a quiet holy hour
of prayer with Jesus exposed in the Most Blessed Sacrament. This
hour of prayer may be spent reading the Bible or your favourite
prayer book, praying the rosary, interceding, giving thanks or
simply sitting and enjoying the peace that comes from being in the
presence of the One who loves you the most.
What do others
say about Eucharistic Adoration?
“The Church and
the world have a great need of Eucharistic Adoration. Jesus
awaits us in this sacrament of love. Let us be generous with our
time in going to meet Him in Adoration ... May our Adoration never
cease.” Saint John Paul II.
